– Rutile-coated Properties and area of application: Rutile-coated rod electrode for homogeneous austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo steels/cast steel types. Thanks to its very low carbon content, suitable for LC steels as well as grades stabilised with titanium or niobium (e.g. AISI 316L, 1.4401 or 1.4571). Excellent welding properties with almost spatter-free spray transfer and self-releasing slag in most cases. Good ignition and re-ignition. Finely rippled weld appearance, concave fillet welds.
