Silicone-free test spray to safely and easily check the flawless function of optical and photoelectric smoke detectors
– The test spray simulates smoke causing a smoke detector to trigger an alarm within seconds if it is working properly
– Test method: Spray the smoke detector with a short jet at a distance of around 20 cm, if an alarm sounds within a few seconds, the smoke detector is working correctly.
– If no alarm sounds, test or replace the batteries and repeat the test. If there is still no alarm, replace the smoke detector
– Fire alarm systems (incl. smoke detectors) must be professionally serviced at regular intervals as specified by the manufacturer and their correct functioning must be tested and the results documented
– A half-yearly inspection is recommended
