– Rutile-coated Properties and area of application: Rutile-basic-coated rod electrode for homogeneous austenitic Cr-Ni steels/cast steel types. Thanks to its very low carbon content, suitable for LC steels as well as grades stabilised with titanium or niobium (e.g. AISI 304L, 1.4301 or 1.4541). Very good welding properties with almost spatter-free spray transfer and self-releasing slag in most cases. Good ignition and re-ignition. Finely rippled weld appearance, flat to slightly concave fillet welds. Diameters 2.5 and 3.2 mm are suitable for position welding. For operating temperatures up to 350 °C under cold-condensate corrosion conditions, non-scaling up to 800 °C. yield 100 %.
